I Am… the Bread of Life

This week we start a new series. With seven in-your-face statements sprinkled through the gospel of John, Jesus simultaneously declares his identity and different aspects of what He does in relation to humans. In John chapter 6, Jesus proclaims that He is "the bread of life." What would this have meant to the crowd He was speaking to, and what does this statement mean for us?
